Welcome to our Pre-school.

We welcome 48 new children who have joined us in Holy Child Pre-school. We hope you will have a year of fun and learning creatively.
Some Points:
  • We use the main entrance every day.
  • Class times up to Halloween: Year 1: 9.20am to 12noon; New Year 2: 9.20am to 1pm and Year 2 children 9.20am to 2pm
  • Staff Training day on 23rd October. NO SCHOOL that day.
  • Next school closure is Halloween Break: No school from Monday 30th October  to Friday November 3rd inclusive.
  • Hot lunches will be served in class this term.
  • We encourage parents to make an appointment to speak to a staff member at a time that is suitable for everyone.

Our new Admissions Policy has been devised in line with the Education Act 2018.

About us:

The Rutland Street Project was set up as a joint initiative between the Government of Ireland and the Van Leer Foundation in 1969. Also know as Holy Child Preschool, it is supported by the Department of Education and provides 103 places for preschool-aged children including an ASD Early Intervention Unit/Special Class.
